PRIVACY POLICY · UPDATED 21 OCTOBER 2026

Your feeds.
Your information.

A plain-language explanation of what Latcharoo stores, what gets shared and what you control.

Who is responsible

James Triggs is responsible for Latcharoo and the personal information described in this notice. For support, a privacy request or a complaint, contact jamesjtriggs@gmail.com. This notice was updated on 21 October 2026.

The short version

Your feeding history is stored on your devices and synced between your paired iPhone and Apple Watch using Apple’s WatchConnectivity service. There is no Latcharoo account or developer-run feeding-history server. The app includes no advertising, cross-app tracking or third-party behavioural analytics SDK. We do not sell your personal information.

Apple provides purchases, operating-system services and optional backups or diagnostics. If you email support or visit these pages, our email and website providers process the information needed to deliver those services.

What stays on your devices

Latcharoo stores the breast side, feed start and stop times, side switches, record identifiers, completed-feed markers, earned badges, trial dates and app preferences. It calculates daily summaries, personal averages and insights from those records on your device. It does not ask for your name, your baby’s name, location, contacts, photos or HealthKit access.

Widgets and Live Activities read the information they need locally. Feed side and timing can appear on your Watch face, Home Screen, Lock Screen or Dynamic Island. Choose your widgets and device privacy settings with this visibility in mind.

Paired-device synchronisation

Records, achievement state and the trial start date are exchanged between your paired iPhone and Watch using Apple’s system-managed connection. Delivery can be delayed when a device is disconnected or suspended. There is no Latcharoo cloud account for synchronising across unrelated phones. Removing records from only one device does not remove the copy on the other.

Purchases and the trial

Apple processes the optional one-off Plus purchase through StoreKit. The app checks verified transactions and purchase entitlement to enable Plus and restore previous purchases. We do not receive your card or banking details. Apple may provide the developer with sales and transaction information through its store tools, which is separate from your feeding history.

The trial begins with your first recorded feed. The app keeps the earliest trial start and a last-seen timestamp in the device Keychain to enforce the trial. These dates can survive uninstalling and reinstalling. Local preferences also remember whether an in-app Plus prompt was shown. They are not sent to a Latcharoo marketing service.

Backups, exports and sharing

Depending on your Apple settings, device backups may include app data. Apple handles these backups under its own terms. Latcharoo does not offer an independent online backup or account-based recovery service.

Export CSV on iPhone saves an unencrypted file to the location you choose. That file contains sensitive feeding information. Keep it somewhere you trust. Your chosen Files provider or sharing destination then processes it under its own terms. Exported copies are outside the app’s control. There is currently no CSV import feature.

Retention and deleting records

Feeding history remains in the app’s local storage until that storage is removed. There is currently no in-app delete-all or individual record editor. To remove the app’s local feeding history, delete Latcharoo from both your iPhone and Watch, choosing to delete app data rather than offload or hide the app. A retained copy on either device, or restoring a backup, may bring history back when syncing resumes. If you need help, contact support before deleting anything.

Delete any exported CSV files and unwanted device backups separately through the relevant provider. Deleting the app does not erase Apple’s purchase records, refund Plus or necessarily remove the Keychain trial dates. Support cannot retrieve or remotely erase a server copy of your feeding history because we do not hold one.

Support and diagnostics

If you email jamesjtriggs@gmail.com, we receive your email address, message and anything you attach. We use these to answer your request, investigate faults and handle complaints. Please do not send feeding histories, screenshots containing personal details or health information unless necessary and agreed. We do not use support messages for marketing.

We retain correspondence for as long as needed to resolve the request, handle related issues and meet legal obligations. Apple may share crash reports, aggregate diagnostics or TestFlight feedback with the developer according to your Apple settings and beta participation. Feedback and screenshots you choose to send may reveal personal information.

This website and service providers

Cloudflare Pages hosts these pages. We add no analytics scripts, advertising cookies, contact forms or remote fonts. Cloudflare processes technical request information, such as IP addresses and browser details, to serve and protect the site. Email support uses our email provider, Google. Apple operates store, device, backup and beta services. External links use the destination’s own privacy practices.

These providers may process information outside the UK. Their privacy notices explain their locations, retention and applicable transfer safeguards. For information about processing relevant to your request, contact us. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy, Google’s privacy policy and Apple’s privacy information.

Why we use information

Local feed processing provides the recording and display features you choose to use. Where we receive purchase information, we use it to provide the unlock you buy and meet accounting or other legal obligations. We rely on our legitimate interests in answering support requests, maintaining the app and protecting the website for necessary support correspondence and operational information. We do not require you to email support to use the app.

There is no advertising profiling or automated decision-making with legal or similarly significant effects. Personal averages, badges and charts describe logged records only.

Your rights and complaints

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, erase or receive a copy of personal information we hold, or restrict its processing. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Email jamesjtriggs@gmail.com. We may need proportionate information to locate your records and protect your privacy. We normally respond within one month and will explain if a lawful extension is needed.

We cannot access or correct device-only feeding history remotely. You can export that history on iPhone. If you are unhappy with our response, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or your local data protection authority.

Audience and changes

Latcharoo is intended for adults recording breastfeeding. It is not a children’s service or a medical service. We will update this page if data handling changes and provide further notice where required.
